This is what we call a Player Grade Relic'd Replica
It's a new guitar with a really mild Relic. I won't say right, because as you can see, it's meant to replicate a ton of use on the road, but it's a realistic amount of relic.
We also specifically spec'd it out so that the hardware wasn't aged. No matter how long the show was, I don't ever put my guitar away wet and oily. So, when my 20 year old Les Paul ages, it gets the lacquer and finish rubbed down from constant rubbing, but I could have a guitar 100 years and my bridge won't be rusty.
So, the idea with this one is it looks like a person who cares about their guitar, but plays it a lot. Also, once you put a little bit of your own wear on it, it's going to look and feel just like you want.
I was never a relic guy until I ordered this guitar with these specs. Relic is an awesome feature when you aren't paying thousands for it. This guitar feels worn in and comfortable right away, so you get 100% of the NGD (New Guitar Day) fun, but none of the anxiety of rocking out in a pristine new ax.
